Collaboration for Taiwan’s experimental education program

This year, Y2 Foundation for Future Education and National Chengchi University officially signed an agreement for the MGI Program--Montessori for Global Impact, which will combine expertise in teacher training and research to jointly explore education pathways appropriate for Taiwan’s socio-cultural context and to foster abilities for the future.

Y2 Executive Director Cynthia Hang explains that the three pillars of MGI are: pedagogical research, teacher empowerment training, and establishment of pilot education institutions. The vision behind experimental education, according to Y2 co-founder Andy Chen, is that “we can’t predict what the world will be like in ten years, but we can prepare the next generation with the skills to cope with future social change.”
