The Chen Chien-Chih Social Welfare Foundation is founded with the mission to improve the welfare of underprivileged children and the elderly.

2006


January
An application is made to the government to reposition the foundation as an education foundation.
The preparatory office for the Y2 Foundation for Future Education is established.

June
The teacher sponsorship program kicks off.
Y2 provides NT$2.65 million in grants to sponsor teachers for the AMI Montessori teacher training program in the US.

November
Y2 Foundation for Future Education is established with the approval of the Ministry of Education.

2017


April
Y2 team attends the AMI’s Annual General Meeting in Amsterdam to build the network for international resources.

June
The Foundation provides NT$1.85 million in grants to sponsor teachers to attend AMI Montessori teacher training program in the US.

Y2 team attends the Montessori Orientation to Adolescent Studies in Chicago, in preparation for promoting adolescent-related programs.

October
Start Montessori for Global Impact (MGI) Project and Taiwan Montessori Education Center (TMEC) in collaboration wtih National Chungchi University

November
Y2 hosts the Future Education for Adolescents - Montessori for Social Change, the first international conference in Taiwan dedicated to Montessori adolescent education, gathering over 250 attendees from seven Asian countries.

2018


January
Initiates the Montessori Education in Public Schools Program

April
A program to train translators with Montessori specialization is launched in cooperation with the Graduate Institute of Translation and Interpretation at National Taiwan Normal University.

June
The teacher sponsorship program continues, with Y2 providing NT$2 million in grants to enable teachers to attend AMI Montessori teacher training program in the US.

2019


May
Information platform More than Education – Montessori from age 0 to 100 is launched.

July - November
Three-phase event for Montessori Education in Public Schools

October
Y2 Foundation for Future Education, Taipei Medical University, and AMI formally entered a collaborative partnership, to establish training in Taiwan for nursing professionals to administer Montessori-based care and support for dementia and elderly patients.

Initiates 2021 Montessori Social Impact Talent Development Program

Y2 Podcast Chat2Heal is launched.

2020


November
Held the online workshop on Montessori for Dementia and Aging jointly with TMEC.

Held the Montessori for Dementia Care Online Workshop jointly with Taipei Medical University and AMI in the first phase of training professionals in Montessori-based care.

January - December
Officially partner with three public schools across Taiwan in the Accessible Montessori program.

Preliminary preparations begin for Y2 Montessori School - Adolescent Community (Y2MAC), exploring Montessori education in local cultural context.
