LAURIE EWERT-KROCKER


Laurie Ewert-Krocker is the upper school director and pedagogical advisor at Hershey Montessori School in Huntsburg, Ohio. She holds AMI diplomas at the primary and elementary levels, a BA in English from John Carroll University (OH), and an MA in English from the University of Washington.

Ms. Ewert-Krocker was the founding head teacher of Hershey Montessori School’s Adolescent Community, a Montessori farm school model, and she works as a consultant to Montessori adolescent programs around the world.

MICHAEL WASKI


Michael Waski is a math teacher at the Montessori High School at University Circle(Cleveland). He holds the AMI elementary diploma from Bergamo, a BS from Kent State University (OH), and an MA in educational administration from California State University, San Bernardino. Michael has been teaching for 21 years, 17 of which have been at the adolescent level. In addition, Mike is a member of the visiting faculty on the NAMTA/AMI Montessori Orientation to Adolescent Studies program as well as a frequent NAMTA presenter.

Mike is also the author of Montessori Algebra for the Adolescent, the holy grail of advanced Montessori math for the adolescent.

【Panel Discussion - Panelist】

MAX SCHUBERT


Max received Montessori education from Children’s House through high school graduation. Graduating from Ruffing Montessori School (Second oldest Montessori School in the United States) in 2012 and the Montessori High School at University Circle in 2016 where he received the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

He currently attends Colorado College as an International Business and Politics, and Education Major. Max is currently teaching 5th grade science as a student-teacher at Columbine Elementary School in Woodland Park Colorado where he focuses on environmental literacy.

He also serves as the Medical and Risk Management director at Elk Creek Ranch for Teenagers, where he instructs teenagers on horseback riding, backpacking and serves as a naturalist. Max plans to pursue a master’s degree in education from Colorado College as well as a Master of Business focused on high school administration. He hopes to attend the Montessori Adolescent training in Bergamo in the coming years.

TUNG-LIAO CHENG


Tung-Liao Cheng is the associate professor in the Department of Education at National Chengchi University. He also serves as the principal investigator of Taiwan Experimental Education Center, dedicating himself to promoting the development of experimental education. 

This year, he is invited to be the principal investigator of Montessori Program for Global Impact. In addition, he took part in the NAMTA/AMI Montessori Orientation to Adolescent Studies at Hershey Montessori Farm School this summer for better understanding the spirit of Montessori.

Seeing a remarkable vision of how Montessori education can prepare adolescents for their future, Tung-Liao Cheng makes an effort to bring Montessori education to the secondary school in Taiwan.
