Jan Gaffney 珍.可芙伶
紐西蘭籍,擁有 30 年蒙特梭利教師、校長、協會董事、顧問經驗(12 年第一線教學現場,18 年領導與辦學經驗),曾任紐西蘭蒙特梭利協會 (MANZ) 主席,擔任紐西蘭蒙特梭利學校與峇里島國際學校校長。2021 年申請教育就業金卡,定居台灣,致力為台灣發展優質的蒙特梭利中學教育。

Between us we cover all the academic areas needed and in addition to our academic abilities, our team have interest and experience in arts, physical activities, business, sustainability, culinary arts, equity, philosophy and psychology. Between us we have a great range of skills and experiences to build an inspirational, innovative and joyful education for our students.
Curriculum Lead
Chris Marks
As the Curriculum Lead for the 12–15 group at Y2MAC, Canadian Chris Marks brings extensive experience leading Montessori adolescent communities around the world and often incorporates his practical experience into AMI teacher training work. Effortlessly, he possesses a natural ability to work comfortably with adolescents and always enjoys engaging with them in hands-on work. He holds AMI 3–6 and 12–18 diplomas.

Susan Chen 陳耘瑋
過去生活曾經歷美國、台灣、馬來西亞與歐洲等多元文化,15 年前回到台灣,最初只計畫教 3 年英文,但因愛上教育現場而在台灣待了下來,並熱切地想探尋能滿足下一代孩子需求的教育系統。直到接觸蒙特梭利教育,發現那是心中一直在尋找的答案,後續並取得教育碩士、AMI 國際蒙特梭利協會 6-12 歲認證導師與 12-18 歲青少年階段前導課程培訓。

Fankan Hsu 徐凡甘
「15 歲的我,認為自己是世界上最倒楣的人; 21 歲的我,在柬埔寨農村高腳屋下簡陋的教室看到生命的希望; 24 歲的我,在『為台灣而教』中確立教育是我的人生志向;現在的我,每一步都在為圓夢努力。」
擁有廣泛⽽多樣⽣活經歷的凡甘,為 2013 年總統教育獎得主,擁有農業經濟學學位。對社會議題懷抱熱忱,⽏庸置疑將成為學⽣的榜樣、以⽣命影響⽣命。

Fang Jou Chang 張方柔
擁有國際企業學士學位與健康休閒管理碩士學位的方柔,具運動科學專業知識,與多年推廣兒少身心健康的經驗,曾創立並經營兒童運動訓練相關品牌。方柔也取得 AMI 國際蒙特梭利 12-18 歲正式教師認證;她在 Y2MAC 的第一學年中擔任體育老師,並將於第二學年轉為全職導師,擔綱跨領域專案和支持學生等角色。
OUR TEAM: 15-18
In Montessori adolescent education, students aged 15–18, compared to those 12–15, begin to think about how they can make a difference in the world and develop greater forward-thinking abilities. Their focus expands from personal growth to societal issues, exploring what personally motivates them and how they can share that with the wider world. Education at this stage emphasizes guiding them to connect self-understanding with social responsibility.

Emily Dowell
A specialist pediatric nurse turned Montessori adolescent practitioner, brings a scientific approach to working with adolescents. She is well-rounded, with interests in math, humanities, and self-expression, modeling adulthood in the 15–18 community. Driven to support adolescent development, she researches current issues and applies the latest findings in her practice. In addition to working at Y2MAC, Emily is training to become an AMI 12–18 Montessori guide trainer.

Hank Lin
Hank Lin works at the intersection of science and humanities, with broad knowledge in social sciences, business, and natural sciences. He has experience in experimental schools, giving him a unique approach to working with adolescents. There, he has inspired students to contribute to peace, equity, and sustainability. Passionate about hiking, diving, and exploring the world, he is committed to lifelong learning. He is currently pursuing his AMI 12–18 diploma in Ohio, USA..

Eve Chen
Eve Chen is a social enterprise entrepreneur and education practitioner with extensive experience in teaching Chinese. Under the traditional system, she created space for adolescents to appreciate the beauty of literature. She has also led students in experimental education and social welfare facilities to explore the rich world of Chinese literature. She guides our 15–18 adolescents through three main areas: literature, writing, and critical thinking.

Rosalyn Shih
Rosalyn Shih, a Canadian with roots in Hong Kong, facilitates programs and intercultural experiences that help young adults deepen their self-understanding, explore their relationships with the world, and envision the next steps in their academic and professional journeys. She is passionate about advancing mindfulness and student wellness, and at Y2MAC she supports adolescents in exploring overseas study opportunities and career pathways.

House Parents
Having dediacted house parents in the home away from home to be the role models and support the development needs of adolescents is a key to fostering independence. Our current House Parents are Rhonda, Christina and Michael.
Lead House Parent
Rhonda
Rhonda, our Lead House Parent, is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in Montessori education. She has worked as a Adolescent Teacher, an Exchange Program Coordinator, and a Special Education Assistant in Canada, Taiwan, and Australia. Rhonda has AMI/ NAMTA 12-18 training and hold M.Ed. in Montessori. She enjoys traveling with her family and staying active, including K-pop dance and Zumba.
House Parent
Christina
Christina is from India and has been a Montessori teacher for 20 years, working with children ranging from 2 to 12 years old. She holds both the AMI 3–6 and 6–12 diplomas. Christina is passionate about nature, diverse cultures, film, and the arts. She joins Y2MAC together with her husband, Michael, who will be introduced later.
House Parent
Michael
Michael, from India, is Christina’s husband. He holds an AMI 3–6 diploma and is also a trained Yogi. Earlier in his career, he worked as an ad filmmaker, bringing stories to life with creativity and attention to detail. Michael enjoys working with his hands, particularly in craft work, gardening, and carpentry. He adapts easily to his environment and makes use of available materials to get the job done.

Self Expression 自我表達
青少年階段具的孩子,有強烈的自我表達需求。在 Y2MAC,我們的課程設計將其分成「體育」和「創意表達」兩部分,依據學生人數,邀請一至數位外部專業老師前來授課,盡可能讓學生有多元探索的機會,為蒙特梭利青少年教育不可或缺的要素。星期三整天是自我表達課程,讓學生能自在浸淫其中。
